Stuff
that Daemon Record does to help save the world
Jesus
Christ Superstar
In 1994 a group of Georgia musicians banded together to record
their version of the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar. The resulting
CD was released on our label. The proceeds from this recording
are dedicated to preventing gun violence and lobbying for stricter
gun control laws. We also hope to support programs which specifically
target youth, including conflict resolution and alternatives to
violent behavior. We are proud to have given $45,000.00 in donations
to the following organizations this year.

The
Honor The Earth Campaign
The
mission of Honor
the Earth is to provide funding and public support for
Native environmental initiatives.
Across
the continent more than 200 Native groups are resisting the environmental
destruction of their homelands and working to rebuild sustainable
communities based on traditional knowledge. These groups are operating
with little or no funding and little or no public support. Honor
the Earth provides grants to groups representing the pulse of
the Native environmental justice movement Money is critically
needed to strengthen the capacity of our communities to protect
our lands, way of life and future generations. Although small,
these grants have high impact in forwading front line environmental
efforts. We also work to build broad public support for our communities
to break the isolation and invisibility of Native environmental
issues and create a stronger voice for the earth.
Honor
the Earth focuses its grantmaking and political advocacy work
around the broad areas of Environmental Justice and Indigenous
Knowledge.
Daemon
Records would like to thank each of these organizations for all
the work they do. Salute.
