Hey
Everyone!
I am working on DVD about the solo touring years, so far, with
The Butchies and The Volunteers. I am working with a great editor
in Atlanta and it is slowly, but surely coming together. I have
done a bunch of interviews and we have oodles of footage from
various camera-like people. What I need is to fill in some gaps.
I thought maybe the bootleggers out there could be of some help.
I am looking for some good sound recordings or video with good
sound from a few shows. I did get one bootleg for the Echo Lounge
and we sure do appreciate it, but the more the merrier because
different tapes have different glitches.

Okay, if you have anything, you can send it to us at Daemon Records,
P.O. Box 1207, Decatur, Ga. 30031. I will credit you for whatever
we use ad send you something fun. How's that?

In recent news, Scott Turner Schofield did a bang up job organizing
the show, Riffing in the Round at The Eyedrum in Atlanta.
Wow, did I have fun.
Writer T Cooper came across the country to read from his new book-Lipshitz
Six, or two Angry Blondes. This new book by T tells a story that
spans generations and gender in a classic way. If you haven't
read the book yet, please check it out. T also recently edited
a a book out on Akashic Books- A Fictional History of the United
States (with Huge Chunks Missing)
The notorious Katz did some old favs and a couple of brand new
pieces. His new record - Jockstraps and Unicorns is out. Katz
is growing as an artist and this cd shows his evolution as it
marries beats and music to words that are go from political to
familial to just plain funny with southern twist.
Turner, a provocative and compelling story teller and spoken word
artist, has been proving himself all over the country. At The
Eyedrum show, Turner helped us to look at gender in a new way,
face our prejudices, and have fun while doing it.
Three5Human
came and played some tunes and we sang together as well. Trina
and Tomi can do their thing acoustically and it still rocks the
same. I have always wanted to hear Trina sing "On Your Honor"
and she tore it up! Okay, they have a new record out as well-
A Swig From The Acid Bottle. As you know, they are one of the
kickingest rock bands ever!
Gina
from Riot Grrrl Ink came down and helped us out. She did some
recording of the show, so check out the web site, http://www.riotgrrrlink.com
for an upcoming podcast!
oh
and more news...I have started another solo record. This may take
a while, but the happy part is that I am gonna be playing some
tunes with Melissa York again. She's got this rocking new band
called The Ex-Members and is thriving as a drummer, songwriter,
and beat master. We are hooking up periodically and arranging
new music with a cool producer / musician- Greg Griffith. Recording
starts this summer. I am having fun!
I.G.'s are gonna do a new record in the winter.
That's the news for now. I am sure there's more and I didn't even
get into politics..but I will...
over and out!
